The Moving and Storage Institute is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that relies on cash and in-kind contributions to support its mission. The MSI is fully supported by generous donations from AMSA members, industry leaders and organizations such as the National Association of Independent Truckers.
Donations support and enrich the MSI’s annual scholarship program, providing scholarships to employees, children and families of AMSA member companies, and providing training and certification opportunities for the next generation of industry leaders. Contributions also support in-depth research into critical issues facing the moving and storage industry and, just as with our past research project, future MSI research will be designed with an eye toward enabling and increasing state, local and national understanding of our strengths and challenges.
Annual Campaign Donations
Donations to the MSI’s Annual Campaign are fully tax-deductible and can be made by check or online, via a safe and secure link provided by PayPal. Unless otherwise directed, the MSI recognizes annual campaign donors in a range of print and online materials according to the following categories:

Live and Silent Auction Donations
In addition to the Annual Campaign, the MSI raises funds with an annual Live and Silent Auction, held in conjunction with AMSA’s Annual Education Conference & Expo. AMSA members support the annual auction with a wide range of donated items, including industry products and services, hotel and vacation property accommodations, airfare vouchers, electronics, jewelry, gift cards, and tickets to concerts, shows and professional sporting events.
