Moving & Storage Institute Silent Auction - Monday, February 9 - Tuesday, February 10, 2009 Back by popular demand, the MSI Silent auction has been extended to two days!
Moving & Storage Institute Live Auction - Wednesday, February 11, 2009 Concluding the evening at the closing dinner, the MSI Live Auction will feature "big ticket" items, whose proceeds will support annual scholarships and fund valuable industry research.
Everything is bigger in Texas and the 2009 MSI Live and Silent auctions will be no exception! The 2008 auctions in Orlando shattered previous fundraising records for the Moving & Storage Institute, raising nearly $100,000 in two days. We need your help to top last year's results during our 2009 Conference & Expo in Dallas so the MSI can continue its tradition of funding valuable industry research, annual scholarships, and education and training opportunities for individuals in the moving and storage industry.
Please complete the donation form (download here) to make a tax-deductible contribution to the MSI 2009 Live and Silent auctions. Donated products and services, with a minimum suggested retail value of $150, may include electronics, leather goods, fine and costume jewelry, gourmet food and wine gift baskets, retail and restaurant gift cards, hotel accommodations, airfare vouchers, vacation homes, tickets to professional sports events, and more.

The Moving and Storage Institute is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and all donations are tax deductible. Auction proceeds will support scholarships, foster education and training opportunities and fund valuable industry research. Last year’s auction proceeds were put to good use in 2008, providing scholarships for ten exceptional students and funding the industry’s first-ever comprehensive study of the economic impact of the moving and storage industry on the U.S. economy. Data from the study is already being used to support industry image and advocacy efforts and is prominently featured in an industry research brochure being distributed to legislators and consumer groups, as well as AMSA members for use in community outreach activities.
